About
​Gabriel has been involved in various programmes of study within his department since his arrival to Northumbria University in September 2013. At present, he delivers under- and post-graduate modules such as Key Concepts and Debates in Journalism, Media Research Methods, Research Theory and Practice, Mass Communication Case Study and Media Spaces. Dr Moreno is also involved in supervision of graduate and postgraduate students in topics such as the representation of migrants and race in the news, the impact of technological disruption in journalism and social media and environmental activism, among others. He was awarded recognition as Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in December 2015.
